New V8 Supercar Radiator

PWR Performance Products research and development department have designed a new 92 mm radiator to meet the extreme condition under the bonnet of a V8 Supercar.
Using race data sourced from PWR’s V8 Supercar team, a prototype was developed at the R&D department at the new PWR Performance Products facility at Ormeau.

Multi championship winning V8 Supercar team, Stone Brothers Racing were the first team to use the 92 mm radiator prototype in James Courtney’s Jeldwyn Ford during   round One of the 2008 V8 Supercar Championship.

Adelaide’s Clipsal 500 is renowned for extremely hot racing conditions where V8 Supercar engine temperatures can run above 110 degrees.

SBR’s Jim Stone was extremely pleased with the engine temperature data gathered from James Courtney’s Ford, deeming the new prototype a huge success.

PWR’s R&D department have been back in the wind tunnel and have achieved more superior results on a stage two prototype. Interest from the V8 Supercar teams will see more teams running the next stage radiator at Hamilton New Zealand for round three of the V8Supercar series.

Stay tuned for more information.
