Sweden’s Johan Kristoffersson has won the Coyote World RX of Belgium, round four of the FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy – the first victory for the new-for-2017 Volkswagen Polo GTI Supercar.

Team Peugeot-Hansen’s Timmy Hansen finished runner-up, while Kristoffersson’s team-mate Petter Solberg made it a double podium for PSRX Volkswagen Sweden in third place.

Reigning Champion and series leader Mattias Ekstrom fi nished the event fourth, putting an end to the EKS driver’s winning streak (having won the season’s first three rounds in Barcelona, Montalegre and Hockenheim).

Kristoffersson’s triumph in Belgium has edged the Swede closer to Ekstrom in the overall standings as the two drivers are now separated by only three points.
