We take a particular interest in recruiting apprentices, offering work experience to high school students and investing in them to build a capable and committed workforce to maintain PWR’s exceptional quality workmanship and customer service.

We are focused on ensuring PWR’s recruitment and development programs are inclusive and can support all our people, whatever stage they are at in life and their career.

PWR is proud to employee over 300 staff at our Ormeau operations, over 100 in our North America operations and a sales team in our UK office and have helped develop over 30 apprentices and 16 school work-experience students over the past year (2021).

PWR Apprentice Program – Welder

Demi secured a place as a PWR Apprentice Welder in our Fabrication area and since then has gone from strength to strength.

Graduate Engineer Program

Chris joined PWR in May 2021 as he was approaching the end of a dual Bachelor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering/Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Queensland.

Blake joined PWR in November 2018 and worked his way through our Specialty Build area, quickly establishing himself as a conscientious team member, producing high quality work.

Supporting Career Progression and Recognition

Kirra-Lee joined PWR in 2018 after working at a local 7/11 since completing school in 2016. Starting as a production hand, she has progressed to Quality Supervisor, marking a significant milestone in her journey.
